The AP Women Safety Wing implements comprehensive initiatives to ensure the safety, security, and empowerment of women and children across Andhra Pradesh. Our programs are designed to prevent violence, provide immediate assistance, and create lasting change in communities.
Victim Support Center (ASHRAYA)
Shelter homes for survivors of violence. Counselling services for psychological and emotional support. Assistance in employment and financial independence. Collection of data and monitoring of victim's compensation scheme.
Domestic Violence cell
addresses domestic violence cases and provides support to victims. 1.Counselling & Empowerment Cell: -Offers immediate support and counselling services for domestic violence victims. 2.NRI Cell: - Assists women facing domestic violence in NRI marriages and coordinates with international authorities.
Anti Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC)
Anti Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC): Dedicated for preventing and investigating human trafficking cases. ** Works on tracking traffickers, rescuing victims, and ensuring rehabilitation. Conducts Operations in collaboration with line departments and NGOs for rescuing children from child labor, and ensuring rehabilitation.
Eve Teasing Prevention Cell (ETPC)
Eve Teasing Prevention Cell (ETPC): Focus on curbing public harassment and ensuring women's safety in public spaces. Shakthi Team: Rapid response teams patrol public places to prevent street harassment. WEA (Women Empowerment &Awareness): Engage the public through awareness programs on existing legal provisions, carrier guidance and skill development programs. The team shall also conduct self-defense training programs and awareness sessions in Schools and Colleges. CEO (Community Engagement & Outreach): The Women Protection Committees in collaboration with NGOs, Civil Society Organizations conducts safety level programs in community level.
POSH (Sexual Harassment at Workplaces)
POSH: Handles complaints of workplace harassment and ensures compliance with POSH Act guidelines. Coordinates with corporate and government organizations to establish Internal Complaints Committees (ICCs).
Transgender Persons Protection Cell
Works to prevent discrimination and violence against LGBTQIA++ individuals. SELF (Self Esteem Liberty & Fraternity): A support center offering legal aid, counselling, and rehabilitation for the LGBTQIA++ community.
CSS (Cyber Safety &Surveillance)
Uses technology to enhance safety measures and improve law enforcement response.Conducts forensic analysis of digital evidence.Monitors and analyzes cybercrimes related to women and children. Coordination with social media platforms and cyber forensic experts. CAP (Cyber Awareness Program): Cyber awareness campaigns will be conducted to create awareness among the Women & Children to not to became cyber victims.
WHER(Women Help Line Emergency Response):
This Centre functions round the clock (24/7) and attends all calls received on Help Line numbers such as 1098, 112/100,181 and immediately inform/forward the information to concern jurisdiction for redressal.
CCC(Command & Control Centre)
Monitoring & Data Analytics (MDA): The center shall obtain the information in respect of Women & Child cases from all units and consolidated the data to analyze the crime trends periodically.
